WHBC MYP 2019 “SPELLING BEE” contest of Grade 7 was launched in March, 2019 Spring semester. The contest successfully motivated students for English vocabulary learning. Through the preliminary contest, 21 students from 7 classes stood out and entered the final contest which was held in the meeting hall on 29th March.

The final contest was divided into three parts, including English subject vocabulary spelling and writing, English subject vocabulary and speaking, and other subjects vocabulary short-term memory. The contest covered vocabulary from four major subjects: English, Sciences, Design, Individuals and Societies. Representative teachers from each subject group were invited and delivered positive feedbacks to the contestant students. With the efforts of all teachers and students, an open and fair contest was held successfully. MYP Grade 7 Class 4, Class 3, and Class 2 respectively won Team First, Second, and Third Awards. “Spelling Bee” events, not only motivated English vocabulary learning passion, but cultivated team work spirit among students as well. Wish WHBC MYP students could keep up with the great learning passion and performance in future.
