WHBC Students Enter American Invitational Mathematics Examination 2018

In the AMC 10-12 mathematics competition held in February 2018, WHBC students have achieved excellent results. Almost 10 thousand students sighed up for this year’s AMC 10A in China, and almost 5,200 students sat the AMC 12A. For WHBC, 10 students have been qualified to compete in AIME.

 

Liu Cetian, Pre IBDP student scored in the top 1% of the world and was awarded the Honor Roll of Distinction certificate. Pre IBDP student Zong Yifei, Zhang Jingwei, Wang Boyun, Jiang Chufan, Jin Zhenyu, Zhang Yuqi, Kang Nan and Ji Ran won the top 5% awards and received their Honor Roll certificates. Among them, Liu Cetian, Zong Yifei and Zhang Jingwei have been qualified for AIME and Honor Roll of Distinction certificates.

 

In AMC 12A, Mao Maolin (Pre IBDP student), and Zhang Xin, Yu Jiahui, Zhang Xiaoyi, Chen Runqi, Zhang Dingxuan, Yue Zongyang (IBDP1 students) entered AIME and received Honor Roll of Distinction certificates. Among them, Mao Maolin, Zhang Xin, Yu Jiahui, Zhang Xiaoyi, Chen Runqi and Zhang Dingxuan were among top 5% and received Honor Roll certificates.

 

We hereby congratulate these students on their achievements and we express our sincere gratitude to our faculty and coaches for their dedicated efforts. It is our expectation that WHBC students will achieve even better results in their following competitions.
